Writer

I recently read a few articles that mentioned the phrase aspiring author implies that one needs to be published first to have the validation as a writer. That struck me because I think that I have been operating under that mentality of late.

I am a writer. Full stop. So, I will stop hiding behind the phrase aspiring author as a way to shield myself from the truth that I am still finding my way in this craft after years of procrastination and diverging priorities.

With that established, I now just want to push past the resistance and fear that tell me I cannot do this, or at the very least, that I don’t have the time to do this.

Life is about choices and I choose to be a writer.
